Center of Gravity.
It is located at 645 mm en along the wing leading edge from the root (just in front of the gear)
Note:
balance the model with the gear down and empty main tanks but full air trap.
C of G must be checked before the first flight. To do this, lift the aircraft from the CG point. The aircraft
must adopt a slight nose down attitude. If it is horizontal or the tail drops move the batteries forward or
add weight in the nose.
In other hand if the nose drops considerably move the batteries aft or add weight in the tail.
An easy way to adjust the CG on the Diamond is to separate the wings from the fuselage for a few mm and
to slide a strong rope between the wings and under the fuselage placed at the proper location with a large
knot at the tip. Slide the wings against the fuselage and secure with the screws. Hold the plane by the rope.
It should adopt a slight nose down attitude.
The plane should balance fine with two 5000 mAh 2S1P Rx batteries, one 5000 mAh 3S1P or 2S1P ECU
battery and one 2500 mAh 3S1P landing gear battery.
Total weight
The total weight of the Diamond should come at
19 kgs dry with a 180N class engine and up to 20 kgs
dry with a 220N class engine, excluding any smoke system.
