The operating mode is set with a 2-pole DIP
switch mounted under the thermostat cover.
The cover can be removed by pulling the
combined power switch and temperature
setting knob (fig. 2B) so that it comes of the
spindle and by unscrewing the cover reten-
tion screw. (fig. 3B)

The DIP switch knob setting can be changed
by means of a small screwdriver.

For combined floor and room sensor control,
set the maximum floor temperature with the
trimming potentiometer, (fig. 3A) which is
adjusted by means of a small screwdriver.
The trimming potentiometer can be accessed
via a small hole in the thermostat cover,
under the temperature setting knob. The
figure 2 in the middle under the hole indica-
tes the setting for 25°C, which is a suitable
temperature for floors.

The room temperature is then set with the
temperature setting knob.

The figure 4 on the thermostat cover indica-
tes the setting for 20°C.

For temperature control by means of the floor
sensor or room sensor only, only the tempe-
rature setting knob is used to set the desired
air or floor temperature.

The figure 4 on the thermostat cover indica-
tes the setting for 20°C for the air or floor
temperature.

The trimming potentiometer is not used in
these two operating modes.

The temperature setting knob has two posi-
tions. When it is fully depressed the main
switch is switched on and when it is protru-
ding the main switch is switched off.

Calibration of the thermostat

See figures 2 and 3

Room temperature. 

When the thermostat has been in operation
for 1-2 days and the temperature in the room
has stabilised, it may be appropriate to cali-
brate the temperature setting knob against
the desired setting. This is done by pulling
the temperature setting knob straight out,
without turning it, so that it comes off the
spindle.

Replace the knob on the spindle so that the
mark on the knob is pointing at the appro-
priate figure on the thermostat front. If the
temperature in the room is 20°C, the mark
should point at the figure 4. The figure 4 is
used to mark the normal temperature of the
room.

Maximum floor temperature. 
If a more accurate calibration of the maxi-
mum floor temperature than the value of
25°C set at the factory is desired, this may be
done with the trimming potentiometer posi-
tioned under the temperature setting knob.

Turn the temperature setting knob clockwise
to the maximum position, i.e. the maximum
air temperature setting, and pull it straight
out so that it comes out of the central hole. 

The trimming potentiometer can then be
adjusted with a small screwdriver so that the
thermostat cuts out at the desired maximum
floor temperature.

Replace the knob with the mark in the origi-
nal position, i.e. the maximum position. The
floor temperature may be measured with a
thermometer lying on the floor.

Electronic underfloor heating

Description

T2DuoTemp

is a smart thermostat for all

floors and rooms. It ensures efficient energy
utilisation at a low cost. T2DuoTemp has the
following features and functions:

Control by means of two interacting tempe-
rature sensors. A floor sensor and a room 
sensor. The floor sensor limits the maxi-
mum temperature in the floor. The room 
sensor (fig. 4B) senses the air temperature 
in the room and utilises free heat from solar 
radiation, electric lights, people, etc.

can easily be switched to con-

trol by the floor sensor only or the room 
sensor only. 

Two separate economy programmes for 
optimal economy.

Programme 1: Reduction of the nominal 

temperature by 5°C for the 
same 7-hour period each day 
for 5 successive days and the 
normal nominal temperature 
for 2 days. Thereafter, the 
economy programme for 
another 5 days.

Programme 2: Reduction of the nominal 

temperature by 5°C during 
the same 7-hour period 
every 24 hours.

Ventilation guard. In the event of a sudden 
drop in room temperature, by more than 3 
degrees in one minute, control is prevented 
for 15 minutes. If the room temperature is 
still below the nominal value after 15 minu-
tes, the thermostat starts operating again.

Monitoring of the floor and room sensors. 
Power cut-out and alarm in the event of 
malfunction of one of the sensors.

High breaking capacity of the output relay.

Enclosure class IP 21 as standard.

Floor sensor with 3 metres of cable in-
cluded.

The thermostat is supplied with a front and 
assembly frame for the ELJO TREND box 
system. An extra front for the ELKO RS 
system is also included.

Approved by SEMKO (S), NEMKO (N), 
FIMKO (FI) AND DEMKO (D). CE marked.

Mounting and installation 

T2DuoTemp

is intended for flush-mounting

in a standard 65 mm box. It should be posi-
tioned approximately 1,5 metres above the
floor, protected from direct sunlight and
draughts.

All electrial conduits to the thermostat box
that contain heating cable and floor sensors
must be sealed to protect the thermostat
against hot air currents. Thermostat boxes
which are to be installed in electrical conduits
must also be sealed.

T2DuoTemp

can also be mounted in a raised

frame for external installation.

Connection of the thermostat

See figure 1A and 1B 

The thermostat must be connected to 230 VAC
according to the circuit diagram. A protective
earth, PE, for the incoming power cable and
heating cable must be connected to a com-
mon terminal.

Heating cable of maximum 3600 W/230 V
may be connected direct to the thermostat.
For control of larger heater loads, a contactor
must be used.

Connect the floor sensor to the terminal.
Installation and any extension of the sensor
cable must be connected as for mains
voltages.

modes:

1 - Room sensor only
2 - Room and floor sensor

3 - Floor sensor only
