4.4 Installing the System using the 4-Post Rack Kit

WARNING:
Due to the weight of the system, two people are required to lift and mount
the system into a rack enclosure when following the procedure.
Remove all compute blades from the chassis. Refer to
Removing a Compute
Blade
.
Remove the Pass-through-M1902F65-CMMPT module. Refer to
Removing Pass-
through-M1902F65-CMMPT
.
Remove the power supply modules. Refer to
Removing a Power Supply
Module
.
Prerequisite:
1. Lift the chassis until it is leveled with the outer rails on the rack. (Figure 2-12)
2. Align the left and right side of the inner rail on the chassis with the outer rails
on the rack.
3. Insert the rear side of the chassis into the rack until the inner rails and outer
rails lock into place.
4. Secure the chassis to the rack by installing (2) screws from the mounting
flanges to the rail.
5. Install the compute blades into the chassis. Refer to

Blade

6. Install the Pass-through-M1902F65-CMMPT module into the chassis. Refer to
Installing

7. Install the power supply modules. Refer to
Installing a Power Supply Module
