Accumulated Runtime) to the Factory
Default Values.

CAUTION
Schedule SCH1 & SCH2 settings will be reset to factory default
settings when YES is selected with Restore Factory Defaults.
Exit Advanced Features Mode: by pressing both the left knob and right knob at the
same time for more than 2 seconds to Save the Settings and exit advanced features
mode. Note if there has been no user input for 30 seconds, the VAF-4 will save settings
and automatically exit advanced programming mode.

User Type Setting Procedure
The VAF-4 Wirefeeder uses a DIP Switch on the display PCB to select from a range of Power Sources that it can be
used with this Wirefeeder. If it is required to use a Power Source that is not on Table 4-6, the VAF-4 Wirefeeder can
be set up manually to interface with most Power Sources. Refer to Subsection 4.04.
Some information about this power source will be required: 1. The minimum welding output voltage the Power Source
can provide; 2. The control volts required for this minimum welding output voltage; 3. The maximum welding output
voltage the Power Source can provide; 4. The control volts required for this maximum welding output voltage.
Set the DIP switch on the display PCB so S6, S5, S4, S3 are all ON. Please refer to Subsection 4.04.
For our example below, we will use the following information: 1. The minimum welding output voltage the Power
Source can provide is 10.0V; 2. The control volts required for this minimum welding output voltage is 1.50V; 3. The
maximum welding output voltage the Power Source can provide is 36.0V; 4. The control volts required for this maxi-
mum welding output voltage is 8.6V.
1. Enter advanced features mode by pressing left knob and right knob for more than 2 seconds.
2. Turn the LEFT KNOB to display USER SET, and then press the LEFT KNOB to enter User Setting Mode.
