5.10 Preliminary Check of the Power Supplies (Main Power ON)

With the wirefeeder powered up, there are LED’s placed on the Motor Control PCB1 to indicate if the individual

power supplies are present. There are also test points to measure the actual power supply voltages.
A useful check to make sure the Main Control Microprocessor is running, is to look at the “HEART BEAT” LED. This

will flash slowly if the microprocessor is running. If this is not flashing, there is a problem with PCB1 and it will

need to be replaced.
The “HEART BEAT” LED flashes all the time on the Motor Control PCB1.
For the Display PCB2, the “HEART BEAT” LED will flash when the wirefeeder is not triggered, and the display hold

function has completed its 10 second cycle.
