7.3. Wrapped Instruments
Wrapped instruments should be packed in material that promotes
drying such as autoclave bag, autoclave paper.
It is highly recommended to utilize the Tuttnauer
Pouch Rack. This
rack allows the operator to place pouches on their side, thus increasing
the capacity of the autoclave significantly and promoting better drying
of the instruments. Contact your dealer for details.
Verify that the packaging method is in accordance with good practice
approach and the packaging materials are in accordance with the
applicable standards. We recommend using plastic-paper pouches.
8. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
8.1. Turning on the Autoclave
1.
Plug the power cord into the back of the autoclave and into the wall
outlet.
2.
Turn on the rocker switch mounted on the side of the front panel
(2340EA-D, EKA-D, 2840EA-D, EKA-D) or under the printer cover
(3850EA-D, 3870EA-D). See Front View).
3.
Fill the water reservoir.
Note:
The autoclave is ready for use directly after switching on, provided
there is water in the reservoir.
This machine is equipped with an electronic door lock. Closing the door
activates the locking mechanism.
8.2. Opening the Door (3850EA-D, 3870EA-D)
Note:
After a successful sterilization cycle, a new cycle cannot be started
unless the door is opened and closed again. When the door is closed, the
screen will prompt "Press ^ to open".
Press
in order to open the door.
The screen will prompt: "Door Action/Door Opening…", then the “System
ready” screen with will appear.
Note:
The first time you start the unit:
Set the atmospheric pressure parameter, then date and time (see 9.4).
8.3. Opening the Door (2340EA-D/EKA-D, 2840EA-D/EKA-D,)
This machine is equipped with an electronic door lock. If there is high
pressure, high temperature or high water level in the chamber, the door is
locked.
When System Ready is displayed on the screen, open the door by following
these steps:
