APPENDIX G: SOFTWARE/KEYPAD FUNCTIONS
The monitor has a software interface that simplifies calibration and the changing of monitor values. The
following descriptions of the software functions will help provide a better understanding of the monitor
and its operation.
G.1
Screens
A series of computerized screens built into the monitor are called up using the keypad and shown on
the digital display.
G.1.1
Home Screen
Once the monitor has been activated, the
HOME
screen is continuously displayed, except when
accessing other screens.
From the HOME screen, access the calibration data and the calibration sequence by pressing <ENT>.
Other screens are accessed from the HOME screen by pressing various keys on the keypad.
Go to the
HOME
screen by pressing the <
HOME
> key, except during the calibration procedure. To
return to the
HOME
screen from calibration, first press <
ESC
> to abort the calibration sequence.
G.1.2
Warning Screens
There are warning screens throughout the software, which inform of invalid entries (for values or ID).
G.1.3
Alarms
When an alarm occurs, “
ALM
” blinks in the upper left-hand corner of the
HOME
screen. The nature
of the alarm can be discovered by pressing <
ESC
> from the
HOME
screen (see
Appendix D and
Appendix E
).

Keypad Functions
G.2.1 Numerical Keys
The keypad has 10 numerical keys labeled 0 through 9. These keys are used to
enter numerical values as necessary to operate the monitor.
