TD1000C™Oil in Water Monitor
APPENDIX F: SYSTEM VALUE PARAMETERS
PN 101687
REV G
TD-1000C Oil In Water Monitor
Operation Manual
39
The monitor will display INVALID INPUT if the new 20 mA value if it is not higher than the 4 mA output
value.
4–20 mA Setting Notes:
1. The narrower the range of the 4–20 mA settings, the greater the resolution.
2. During an alarm condition, the 4–20 mA output will still send out the RFU level.
3. During calibration the 4–20 mA output will send out a 4 mA signal.

Master ID
For security, a USER ID is required to change the System Values or calibrate the monitor. The original,
or default, value is 0258. The MASTER ID is required to view or change the USER ID. To change the
USER ID, contact your Turner Designs Hydrocarbon Instruments representative or Turner Designs
Hydrocarbon Instruments Technical Support at +1 559 253 1414 for assistance with the Master ID.
<6>
AC/DC alarm output status
No entry is required—status screen only.
<7>
Cell Threshold
This value determines the light transmission % at which the operator should clean the flow cell. The
real time cell condition % is compared to the cell condition % measured during cell calibration. Upon
reaching the Cell Threshold value a DC output alarm is activated alerting the operator that maintenance
is required. Cell Threshold values of 30 to 70% are typical.
<8>
Cell Delay
This value determines the time interval delay for activating the Cell Threshold DC output alarm. The cell
delay is activated when the Cell Threshold % value is exceeded (lower value) for the Cell Delay period.
Cell Delay intervals of 30 sec, 1 min, 2 min, 5 min, 10 min, 20 min and 30 minutes are available.
<9>
Fluorescence temperature compensation
This value provides compensation for process water temperature dependency of the fluorescence
measurement. Most applications do not require this feature and no parameter entry is required. Please
contact your Turner Designs Hydrocarbon Instruments Representative or Turner Designs Hydrocarbon
Instruments Technical Support at +1 559 253 1414 if your application has highly variable process
temperature conditions.
