The Licenses Menu

The Licenses Menu can be used to check the current license status of your SAM-Q-SDI and to load any
optional licenses purchased from TSL.

When requesting a license option from TSL, you will be asked for the Device ID so that the license may be
generated. The Device ID is unique to your SAM-Q-SDI and is based on its MAC address.

The example below shows a SAM-Q-SDI with a Device ID of 5410EC0B6A75.

To load a license, simply copy the file supplied by TSL into the root directory of a USB thumb drive, insert
it into the front panel of the SAM-Q-

SDI and select ‘Add License from USB’

using Source Select button 1.

The license will then be loaded, and the corresponding function (MADI or LOUDNESS) will be reported as
being Licensed.

If the SAM-Q-SDI fails to detect a valid license file, the following error message will be displayed.

If the SAM-Q-SDI fails to detect your USB thumb drive, the following error message will be displayed.
