Operational Mode

–

Probe Contributors

Probe Contributors mode displays audio level meters for each audio source channel contributing to the
currently selected loudness probe.

Any  one  of  the  8  available  loudness  probes  can  be  selected  as  required,  simply  by  rotating  the  small
encoder on the left-hand side of the front-panel.

When selecting a loudness probe, a downmix of all contributing channels will be presented to all SAM-Q-
SDI audio outputs, with the Source select buttons for all contributing channels lit Green.

Pushing  and  holding  a  Source  Select  button  allows  its  corresponding  audio  channel  to  be  isolated  for
monitoring, with all other contributing audio channels being muted automatically

In the example below the user has chosen to listen only to audio source #2, the Centre Channel.

Any combination of contributing channels may be selected for monitoring as required.

Please refer to the Loudness Setup Menu option later in this document for Information on how sources can
be routed to specific audio loudness probes.
