     Turning Off 

    

EVM Series User Manual

Turning Off  

When turning off the EVM, ensure you are in stop mode. A stop indicator will appear on the top left next 

to the battery charge status icon. If it is in run mode, stop the session and then proceed below. 

1.   From any measurement view or the start screen, press the 

On/Off Esc 

.  

2.

 

“3, 2, and 1” countdown will appear as the EVM is powered off. Continue to press and hold until the 

instrument is powered off. 

 

NOTE:  

To cancel the shutdown process, release the 

On/Off/Esc

 key and it will return you to 

the screen you were previously viewing (i.e., PM measurement screen). 

 

Auto-Run Note:

 If an auto-run session has been set, the auto-run summary screen is 

displayed prior to turning off. See section, Auto-Run in 

Chapter 3

.  

Instrument Information 

The general information screen also called the “unit info” screen is used occasionally to check the type 

of instrument you purchased and displays the serial number and firmware versions.
