Note : If you set the display mode as transparent, the text varies according the
background. With some backgrounds, the text may be not easily readable.
5. Select the font color, alignment and OSD size.
6. Click Save to save changes.
To add overlay text:
1. Click Configuration > Camera Configuration > Image > OSD Settings .
2. Under Text Overlay , select the check box for the first line of text and enter the text in
the text box.
3. Using the mouse, click and drag the red overlay text in the live view window to the
desired position.
4. Repeat steps 2 to 3 for each extra line of overlay text, selecting the next string
number.
Note : Remove an overlay text by deselecting its text line.
5. Click Save to save changes.
Privacy masks
Privacy masks let you conceal sensitive areas (such as neighboring windows) to protect
them from view on the monitor screen and in the recorded video. The masking appears
as a blank area on screen. You can create up to four privacy masks on the same
image.
Note : There may be a small difference in size of the privacy mask area depending on
whether local output or the web browser is used.
To add a privacy mask area:
1. Click Configuration > Camera Configuration > Image > Privacy Mask .
2. Select Enable Privacy Mask .
3. Click Draw Area . Click and drag the mouse in the live video window to draw the
mask area. The Draw Area button is renamed Stop Drawing when clicked.
