Safety instructions
This device contains components that can generate a
spark or an arc!
The installation and connection of electrical devices must al-
ways be carried out by suitable electrical experts!
Solar modules generate electricity when sunlight falls on
them. The full voltage is present, even if little light is present.
The idle voltage can be twice as high. Do not touch live com-
ponents. Cover solar modules with a cardboard box, for ex-
ample, before carrying out assembly or installation work.
The device has been developed for connecting solar mod-
ules. Only suitable modules may be used, e.g. Truma SM 23.
Please pay attention to the maximum voltage and power con-
sumption values.
Only use the prescribed line cross-sections and fuse
strengths!
Do not install or operate the device in wet rooms (e.g. bath-
rooms) or in rooms in which easily flammable gas mixtures
can occur.
The installation of the device must comply with the technical
and administrative regulations of the respective country of
use (e.g. EN 1648). National regulations and rules must be
followed.

Assembly
See page 3, fig. B, C
The device must be protected from moisture and damp. The
installation site must be clean, dry and well ventilated. The
device should be installed in the vicinity of the battery. The
housing can heat up to approx. 80 °C during operation.
Ensure that the ventilation slits are kept free! Inad-
equate ventilation can make the device overheat!
The installation room the the device must have ventilation
openings at the top and the sides with a total opening size
of 100 cm².
If the internal temperature of the device increases because of
lack of air circulation or an ambient temperature that is too
high, the device may be damaged.
Liquid electrolyte batteries must be installed in a separate box
with ventilation leading to the outside. A separate box is not
required for gel or AGM batteries. Pay attention to the battery
manufacturer's installation instructions.
Fix the device in place with two screws (diameter 4 mm – do
not use countersunk head screws). The screw length and
torque depend on the subsurface.
