2.3 The Menu
The concept of the
Chronolog
is centred on the principle of simple, intuitive
operation. Nevertheless, there are some functions and settings that we have
"hidden" in sub-menus. You should read through the following sections care-
fully in order to be able to get the full benefit from all the options that the
Chronolog
has to offer. Some functions are purely of a "cosmetic" nature and
just affect the display. Others, however, are very useful functions that greatly
facilitate operation.
After switching the
Chronolog
on, the Operational display flashes and a
flashing square is shown in the display. Once the text "
Trigon Chronolog
"
appears in the display, the
Chronolog
checks whether a monitor is connected
and sets itself to the appropriate resolution.
Warning:
The
Chronolog
does not start up if there is no monitor,
television or dongle connected.
The
Chronolog
starts its Main menu following this initialisation process.
2.3.1 Main Menu
The Main menu contains a number of items through which you can reach the
most important functions and sub-menus. You can navigate in the menu using
the buttons on the control pad (1 - 5) and the buttons 9 - 14 (see 2.1 on page
8).

Music
Here you can access the music

disc - Open / Close
Open the disc drive drawer
favorites
Here, the stored favourites are
displayed
videos
Here you can access the videos
(see Section 2.3.3 on page 11)
Settings
This opens the
Chronolog
’s
Settings menu
(see Section 2.3.4 on page 12)
System Information
Here you can access information
such as the
Chronolog
’s net-
work address (IP)
(see Section 2.3.5 on page 12)
