If the rotating sieve has excessive vibration, check
the drum pulley assembly as shown on page 37.
If the problem persists, consult an assistant from
TRAPP.
When reassembling the parts in the machine, take
care that they are well-placed and securely attached
to your machine. Follow the recommendations
in the manual for each specific operation and if
necessary contact a TRAPP Technical Assistant.
Lubricate transmission system gear with
molybdenum grease with high dropping point
every 25 working hours, for that, remove the belt
protection as directed on page 35.
Troubleshooting
Problem Probable Cause Solution
The engine does
not turn on
Lack of power in the electrical
network or fuse of the electric
wrench burned.
Check if you have mains power by testing other
equipment or common to the test switch. Check the
fuse in the on / off switch as instructed on page 36.
Engine turns on
but the drum
does not rotate
The synchronized belt is broken
or out of position. The belt is not
properly tensioned.
Check belt, replace or intend to properly belt as
instructed on page 35 and 36.
Excessive
vibration
Incorrect assembly of the screen or
pulleys in the drum. Uneven f loor.
Check the screen and pulleys assembly and adjust if
necessary according to page 36 and 37 or position the
machine on a level f loor to get the job done.
Excessive noise Lack of lubrication in the
transmission system or motor shaft
pinion assembly with incorrect play.
Check the gear lubrication, if necessary lubricate or
contact a Technical Assistant to assess the pinion free
play of the motor shaft.
Large quantities
of material are
leaving the sieve
unclassified
1. The material is inserted into the
drum in excess or too wet or
too dry (compacted).
2. Aggressive feeding.
1. Decrease the amount of material inserted inside
the drum, make sure that the type of sieved
material is recommended for this type of machine
as per page 30.
2. Feed the drum using a suitable tool, preferably a
shovel and project the material in the center of the
drum for the best material classification.
