General Safety Rules
Use the equipment and accessories according to the
instructions contained in this manual, taking into
account the working conditions and the service to be
performed. The employment of the equipment for
operations not described in this manual may result
in hazardous situations.
Do never alter safety or protection switches, and
check frequently to assure they are working.
Changing the safety devices may result in personal
and physical injury and lead to loss of warranty.
Note:
According to the Brazilian standard NBR
5410, it is mandatory to install a residual-current
protection device (RC device) in the electrical set-
up. The function of the “RC” device is to protect
the user against the serious risks of electric shock
(consult an electrician).
Caution!
Whenever performing any sort of cleaning or
maintenance operations, one should first make
sure that the equipment is switched off.
Dress appropriately. Do not wear loose clothing,
jewellery, or long and loose hair, as they may catch on
moving parts or in the equipment openings.
Use safety equipment. Always wear safety goggles,
ear protectors and gloves specifically designed for this
type of work, thus you reduce the risk of accidents.
When transporting the sieve, unlock the drum and let
it close and locked in the position indicated on the
image on page 31. Do not carry or move the machine
in the working position with the drum suspended.
The noise to which the operator is exposed exceeds
85 dB(A), therefore ear protection suitable for this
noise level are necessary.
Use the equipment only for its specific purpose, sifting
and separating soil and organic compost.
Keep all persons, children and animals off by a
30 m safety radius from the area of operation of the
equipment. Never allow children or persons unfamiliar
with the operation to operate the equipment. Turn off
the equipment if someone approaches while the sieve
is turned on and bear in mind that the equipment
operator or user is responsible for any accident
involving the equipment on your property.
Stay alert. Be aware of what is happening. Do not
operate the equipment when you are tired, distracted,
under the inf luence of alcohol, drugs or drugs.
To avoid burning the engine due to overheating,
leading to loss of warranty, do not overload the unit
during operation. If you notice that the rotation is
decreasing, decrease the amount of material inside the
drum and control the feeding.
Perform proper maintenance of the equipment,
many accidents are caused by lack of maintenance
and improper use.
Check the direction of the material to be sifted and
sorted by having a container or wheelbarrow to
collect the material leaving the sieve drum prior
to turning it on.
Whenever you use the machine, place it in a f lat
place to avoid tipping the machine and make sure
that the base is firmly resting on the f loor and with
the stability stand firm.
