6. GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION
6.1. SAFETY SYMBOLS 

          Pay attention to important safety information. 

• Words such as DANGER, ATTENTION, or WARNING will be used with the SAFETY 

symbol. 

• DANGER identifies more serious situations.

 DANGER

• Failure to comply with the “DANGER, ATTENTION, and WARNING” messages 

contained in this safety and instruction manual may result in serious bodily injury, 

as well as in a fire or explosion causing damage to property.
• Only use the grill outdoors. Never use it in enclosed spaces such as garages, 

balconies, or corridors. If used in enclosed spaces, toxic fumes will accumulate 

causing serious bodily injury or death.
• Do not use grill near other flammable materials and/or fuels other than the gas 

cylinder being used with your grill.
• Keep the grill away from flammable vapors, gasses, and fluids such as petrol, 

alcohol, etc.
• Follow this manual’s operation instructions as well as the video available on 

the Tramontina website. Only use the grill when all parts are properly assembled 

according to the manual.
• Make sure that the drip tray is adequately fitted according to the manual before 

igniting the grill.
• Always be careful when using the grill as surfaces will become very hot during 

operation.
• Never leave children, pets, or people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental 

capabilities unsupervised near a hot grill. 
• Keep the small parts and plastic bags away from children.
• The grill should never be used by children or people with reduced capabilities.
• Only move the grill when it’s not in use, after all parts have cooled down.
• When lifting your grill, whether it is to meaneuver past obstacles, barriers, stairs, 

or to move it, never do so by holding the side handles. This operation must be 

done by at least two people holding the base of the grill so they can  keep the grill 

balanced. 
• It’s recommended that  two or more people assemble and move the grill. 
• Due to variations in temperature, your grill screws might come loose.  Tighten 

them regularly. 
• Keep this appliance away from any fuels during use.
• Keep wires and electric cables away from the grill’s hot surfaces and away from 

foot traffic areas.
• This grill can only be used to cook food.
• Never leave the grill on unsupervised.
• Using the grill in weather conditions such as strong winds as it may reduce its 

performance and increase gas consumption.
• Never store the gas cylinder and other fuels or flammable materials inside the 

grill structure itself.
• The gas valve must be exclusive to the grill which must be visible and easily 

accessible.
• Gas hoses must not touch or be near the grill’s hot surfaces. Make sure of this 

when installing and using the grill.
• Be careful when handling the drip tray. This and other parts of the grill may be 

very hot.
• Always use hoses and valves (pressure regulators) certified by current standards 

in your country.  Make sure they are not past their “use by” date and are in good 

conditions, including the gas cylinder. If necessary, replace them as soon as 

possible.

6.2. RECOMMENDATIONS OF USE: ATTENTION AND CAUTION 

 

• When lighting, and during use, always keep the grill on a flat and stable surface 

away from combustible or flammable materials.

• Before handling the cooking grate, the hot plate, or the grill itself, make sure they 

are not hot.

• The side burner cover must be always kept open when the burner is on (lit) and 

while it’s hot. 

• Never touch the cookbox or the lid while they’re hot. Use the grill handles.

• Never use water to control flames or to extinguish the fire.

• We recommend using Tramontina protective mitts against heat during use and 

when handling the grill, whether when preparing the food or opening/closing the 

lid.

• We recommend using Tramontina utensils with long handles, which are 

appropriate for barbecue as they provide a safe distance from the appliance.

• Do not store the grill without cleaning it first. (See cleaning instructions)

• Never assemble or handle the grill while under the influence of drugs, prescribed 

or not, such as alcohol, medication, etc.

• The use of saucepans and frying pans on the grill grates is not recommended. 

Use the side burner with the trivet provided.

• When using the side burner with the trivet provided, only use kitchen utensils 

(pans, frying pans, etc) with a maximum external diameter of 20 cm. (We 

recommend using Tramontina saucepans and frying pans).

• This grill should not be used in or on vehicles and/or boats.

• This grill must never be used as a heater.

• Never line the bottom of the grill with any material as this will block the air flow.

• Gas cylinders must be stored in well-ventilated places, such as outdoor areas, 

and away from ignition sources, such as flames or electrical sparks.

• Never use charcoal/ briquettes in the grill. 

• Never lean over the grill when it’s still in use or hot. 

• Never use the grill to support yourself and never let children climb on the 

appliance.

• Make sure that the burners are properly attached, and check that the burners 

attached with screws are tight. This will prevent the burners from moving around 

during use.

• Before each use, carefully check if the grill has any gas leaks or a blocked burner. 

(Follow all instructions in this manual for correct procedures).

• This appliance must not be used with natural gas.

• Use the grill only with liquified petroleum gas (LPG).

• The side burner table and the cutting board table can hold a maximum of 5 kg 

each.

• Do not try to disconnect the gas equipment while the grill is operational.

• Do not wear loose clothing while lighting or using the grill.

• Always use the wheel locking system (pic. 18) except while moving.
