10.2. GRATES AND HOT PLATE

Remove the cooking grates and the hot plate after making sure they are cool.

Wash the grates and the hot plate using a brush with metal bristles, mild detergent,

and warm water. We recommend using a Tramontina brush with metal bristles.

Rinse thoroughly and keep them dry. After that, apply a thin layer of vegetable oil on

the surface of the grates and the hot plate.

10.3. DRIP TRAY

To clean the drip tray, carefully remove it after making sure it’s cool and wash it with

warm water and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and let it dry.
When using your TGP-4700 grill for an extended period of time, clean the drip tray

every three hours.

10.4. INTERNAL BURNERS (3 units)

Make sure that the control knobs are set to “OFF”. If they’re not, turn the knobs

clockwise until the “OFF” position is aligned with the indicator arrows.

Remove screws in order to remove the burners from the grill.

Soak the burners in warm water and mild detergent, keeping them horizontal for a

maximum of two hours.

Clean the external surface with a soft sponge, mild detergent, and lukewarm water.

Rinse thoroughly, making sure water runs through the burner’s holes. Leave the

burners to dry, keeping them horizontal with the connection hole facing upward.

Before reassembling the burners, check if they’re dry.

 ATTENTION

• Burners’ air inlets (Pic. 29) must always be unobstructed. Keep burners and air

ways completely unobstructed.

• Never modify the size of the burner holes. This will affect the product’s performance

and will void the warranty.

10.5. SIDE BURNER (1 unit) AND TRIVET

Make sure that the control knob is set to “OFF”. If it’s not, turn the knob clockwise

until the “OFF” position is aligned with the indicator arrow.

Use a soft sponge, mild detergent, and warm water to clean. Rinse and keep them

dry.

10.6. INTERNAL SURFACES

Make sure that the grill is cool.  Then clean the internal side of the lid and cookbox

using a soft sponge, mild detergent, and warm water. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.

 ATTENTION

• In coastal areas, corrosion can occur more quickly on the structure of the grill due

to sea spray. Take extra care with cleaning and maintenance.

• Never use products such as alcohol, acid, or solvent.

• Never use abrasive cleaning products on your grill as this might damage the finish.

• The grill must be thoroughly cleaned after use and kept in a sheltered and dry

place.

• Never wash this products’ parts in a dishwasher.

• The cooking grate and the burner can be cleaned with metal brushes which must

be used carefully and exclusively for this purpose as they can lose bristles if used

inappropriately. Brushes should be replaced when bristles start to come loose. Never

use sharp objects to clean any part of the grill as they can damage the finish.

After some time of use, your grill might present one of the following problems:

• Smell of gas and yellow, weak flame;

• Insufficient internal temperature;

• Irregular heating of the grill;

• Non-ignition of the burners. This might be caused by accumulated residue in the

burners.
If any of the problems above are identified and can’t be solved through cleaning,

please follow the maintenance guidelines below.

10.7. CONNECTIONS

Problems might also be caused by leaks in the connections. Please make sure that

connections are all adequately attached and, if necessary, perform the test describe

in “Leak test”.

10.8. GAS SYSTEM

The gas system must be checked every time a new gas cylinder is installed. (Please

refer to instructions for Leak test).

 DANGER

• Maintenance work to be performed by the user described in this manual must

always be done with extreme caution.
• If any condition causes the grill to get wet, let it dry for at least 30 minutes before

using.
• Failure to comply with the instructions above might result in an explosion or a

fire, causing damage to property, personal injury, or even death.

10.9. ADEQUATE FLAME

The grill burners are set by default to the right ratio of air/gas. The corrrect flame

The acquisition of new replacement burners must be done through one of the

technical support teams.
(More information available in the warranty section.)

1) Make sure that the control knobs are set to “OFF”. If they’re not, turn the knobs

clockwise until the “OFF” position is aligned with the indicator arrows. Close the
