12. TROUBLESHOOTING

Burner does not light or flame is weak when the 

control knob is set to MAX!

Is the gas cylinder empty or running low?

Replace gas cylinder.

Are the ignition electrodes wet?

Leave them to dry and repeat the “ignition instructions”. If it still 

doesn’t work, use a match to light the grill. (See “Lighting the burner 

with a match” section.)

Is there air in the gas system?

After connecting the gas supply system, keep pressing the igniter 

button of the chosen burner for one minute.

Could you light the grill with a match?

Use a match to light the grill and then contact technical support or 

an authorized representative to check the automatic ignition system 

electrode.

Could you not light the grill with a match?

Contact technical support or an authorized representative.

The burner flame is yellow or orange and I can 

smell gas!

Are the burner holes obstructed?

Clean the burner. (See “Cleaning and maintenance” section.)

There are intense flames!

Are the grates, the hot plate, and/or the 

burners dirty with a thick layer of grease?

Clean the grates, hot plate. and burners. (See "Cleaning and 

maintenance" section.)

The flame color is irregular!

The flame is weak when the control knob is set 

to MAX!

The burners do not have a flame coming out of 

all the holes!

I can smell gas!

Are burners dirty?

Clean the burners. (See “Cleaning and maintenance” section.)

Is the gas cylinder running low?

Replace the cylinder.

Is the temperature lower than 5°C (40ºF) 

and is the gas cylinder at less than ¼  of 

its total charge?

Replace the gas cylinder.

Are there leaks in the system?

See “Leak test” section.

Is the gas flow insufficient?

Check for obstructions in the burner and/or holes.

Set the control knob to “MAX”.

NOTE: If the problem persist, please contact technical support or an authorized representative.

13. WARRANTY

Tramontina S/A Cutelaria provides a warranty to this product regarding 

manufacturing defects for a total period of 12 (twelve) months, 9 (nine) months of 

which being contractual warranty, and 90 (ninety) days legal warranty. The warranty 

period starts on the date stated on the receipt of purchase which should be attached 

to this policy.  The warranty will only be valid with proof of purchase.
This warranty is limited to repairing or replacing defective parts under normal 

conditions of use after analysis and confirmation that these are indeed defective. 

Please contact your nearest Tramontina Authorized Service (contact information 

is available on our website). If the defect and the complaint are verified, the 

manufacturer will replace parts free of charge. When returning defective parts, costs 

of shipping must be pre-paid by the consumer. When the manufacturer returns parts 

to the consumer, shipping must also be pre-paid by the consumer.
There are no other implied warranties, except those expressly established in this 

document, and any warranties are limited to the period stated above.

The warranty (legal and/or contractual) does not cover:

• Defects resulting from non-compliance with use and care recommendations in 

this manual;

• Any faults or operational difficulties resulting from accidents, abuse, inadequate 

use, alterations, vandalizing, inadequate assembly, failure to comply with routine 

maintenance work, or incorrect work performed by the user;

• When the product is used for purposes other than the recommended in this 

manual;

• Normal/natural wear;

• Color alterations and stains do not hinder the normal operation of the grill, 

therefore they will not be considered for any claims;

• Deterioration or damage caused by severe weather conditions, such as 

hailstorms, hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, or faded coloring caused by heat 

and/or exposure to chemicals, directly or in the atmosphere;

• In case of discontinued parts, the manufacturer reserves the right to offer similar 

parts of equal function;

• Damaged parts (crushed or scratched) due to transportation accidents or 

inadequate handling, falls, or acts or effects of nature such as lightning, rain, etc.

• Expenses for service when no defect can be found or related to use guidelines 

that can be found in this instructions manual or on the product itself, might be 

charged to the consumer.

• TRAMONTINA S/A CUTELARIA, due to the ongoing development of its products, 

reserves the right to alter general, technical, and aesthetic features without prior 

warning.

• Any defect that is verified in this product must be immediately reported to the 

nearest Tramontina Authorized Service. Please contact technical support teams 

(Brazil only - http://www.tramontina.com). For services abroad, please contact 

authorized representatives (www.tramontinachurrasco.com under the “Where to 

Buy” section).

• If you need replacement parts or if you have any questions about your grill 

assembly, use, or maintenance, please contact technical support (Brazil only -

• Any other necessary maintenance or adjustment work not covered in this manual 

must be performed by qualified personnel. This is why we recommend always 

contacting the Tramontina Authorized Service Network, specifying your grill’s brand 

and model.

• The manufacturer is not responsible for people or companies that assume 

any other duties or liabilities regarding the sales, installation, use, removal, and 

returning or replacing their equipment.
