Removing the tire
CAUTION! Before carrying out any operation, deflate the tire, take off all the wheel balancing
weights and remove the inner air valve.
- Lubricate the tire bead with grease, we advise using Fabbri tire grease.
CAUTION! Failure to use the grease could cause serious damage to the tire bead.
WARNING! During rim locking NEVER keep your hands under the tire. For a correct locking
operation set the tire exactly in the middle of turntable.
Outer locking (fig.15b)
- Position the clamps according to the reference mark to
about 2-3cm from the edge of the rim.
- Now lock both the horizontal arm and the vertical arm
by pushing locking button (C, fig.4).
- Push pedal A (fig.14) to tilt the column backward, now
place the tire on the clamps and push the rim down
firmly, now press pedal B (fig.14).
Inner locking (fig.15a)
- Position the clamps so that they are completely closed.
- Now lock both the horizontal arm and the vertical arm by pushing locking button (C, fig.4).
- Push pedal A (fig.14) to tilt the column backward, now place the tire on the clamps and push
pedal B (fig.14) to let the clamps move outward, thereby locking the rim.
CAUTION! Make sure that the rim is firmly fixed to the clamps.
WARNING! Never keep your hands onto the wheel: the arm recovery to “working position”
could set the operator at risk of hand crushing between rim and mounting head.
