4.5. Threshold adjustment
NOTE
In the examples given below, we have arbitrarily
designatedthresholdS1asthesafetythresholdand
thresholdS2asthecomplementarythreshold.Since
themicroswitcheshavethesamecharacteristics,
theseconfigurationscanbeinverted.
4.5.1 Factory preset load limiters
WhenyoupurchasealoadlimiterHF31/1/A2withthe
factor preset option, the load limiter is supplied with
the adjustment screws and locknuts locked with red
varnish. The nameplate on the load limiter indicates
thethresholdsettingvalueandthewireropediameter
for which the thresholds have been adjusted. The
spacers supplied and placed between the fixed and
mobile half-clamps must mandatorily be reinstalled
(see§2.2pointe).
4.5.2 Adjustment of a safety threshold
Preliminaryconditions:
– Loadlimitercorrectlymountedandwired.
– Adjustmentscrewsunscrewedtothemaximum.
– Hookfreeofanyload.
Equipmentrequired:
– A load (called «WLL») equivalent to 100 % of
the nominal capacity authorized for the lifting
machine.
– An additional load equivalent to 10 % of the
«WLL».
