PRESENTATION AND DESCRIPTION OF THE EQUIPMENT

POULISTOP2 is designed for temporary installations of lifting on construction site. It is designed for

manual lifting up to 50 kg WLL (load + rope), and to be used with a braided nylon rope (Ø 18 to 20

mm) for lifting heights not higher than 30 meters.
POULISTOP2 is equipped with an original rope blocking system using a sliding plastic brake,

lockable and unlockable by the remote user by acting on the rope. It is then possible for the user to

maintain the load in suspension without any effort.
NOTA : The purpose of the rope brake is not to stop the load in case of involuntary release of the

rope. If this occurs, the stopping distance of the load may vary strongly according to the utilization,

and a increased wear of the components (rope, brake, sheave) will be noticed.
POULISTOP2 is available according 2 different anchoring fixtures, either with a large security hook

and its safety latch for maximum adaptability of the product, either with a Ø48 ring specially

designed for scaffolds pipes.

Installation

Fix the safety pulley at a fixed anchoring point at a maximum of 30 meters height, with no risk of

collapsing and having sufficient load capacity. Introduce the rope in the pulley, making sure that the

extremity of the rope supporting the load is on the opposite side of the pulley braking system.

Utilization

During the operation, the POULISTOP2 may be used as any usual pulley, as long as the operator

maintains the rope in a non-parallel position to the vertical of its load (not standing under the load). See

Pict. A.
In the case the operator releases the rope parallel to the vertical of the load, willingly or not, the

descending load allows then the abandoned rope to run upwards. It then drags a moving wedge that

compresses the rope against the fixed pivot, and then blocks the descent of the rope, see Pict. B.
Ropes should be made of nylon braided type in diameter 18 or 20 mm, and can be supplied by Tractel

Solutions.
