8-2. Steps to take in an emergency

COASTER_GW-E

Remove any dirt or foreign mat-

ter from the wheel contact sur-

face.

If foreign matter is on the wheel

contact surface, the wheel nuts

may loosen while the vehicle is in

motion, causing the tire to come

off.

Apply small amount of engine oil

to the grooves of the stop bolts

and wheel nuts.

Be careful that engine oil is not

applied to any other part of the bolt

and nut, as it may cause the

wrench to slip off when you tighten

the nuts.

Install the spare tire and loosely tighten each wheel nut or stop bolt

by hand by approximately the same amount.
Turn the wheel nuts or stop

bolts until the tapered portion

come into contact with the disc

wheel seat.
