8-2. Steps to take in an emergency

COASTER_GW-E

Raise the vehicle until the tire is

slightly raised off the ground.

To raise the vehicle, insert the han-

dle into the jack (it is a loose fit)

and move it up and down. Make

sure the pressure release valve in

the jack is tightly screwed in. As

the jack touches the vehicle and

begins to lift, double-check that it is

properly positioned. Remember

you will need more ground clear-

ance when putting on the spare tire

than when removing the flat tire.

Remove all the wheel nuts, all

the stop bolts and the tire.

When resting the tire on the

ground, place the tire so that the

wheel design faces up to avoid

scratching the wheel surface.
