7-1. Maintenance and care
COASTER_GW-E
■
Shampooing the carpets
There are several commercial foaming-type cleaners available. Use a sponge
or brush to apply the foam. Rub in overlapping circles. Do not use water.
Wipe dirty surfaces and let them dry. Excellent results are obtained by keep-
ing the carpet as dry as possible.
■
Seat belts
Clean with mild soap and lukewarm water using a cloth or sponge. Also
check the belts periodically for excessive wear, fraying or cuts.
■
Cleaning the refrigerator (if equipped)
●
To clean the lid and inner liner, wipe them with a soft cloth. If they are very
dirty, use a neutral detergent diluted in warm water (approximately 50°C
(122°F) or less) to remove dirt and then wipe with a soft cloth.
●
To clean the gasket, wipe it with a soft cloth dampened with a neutral deter-
gent. Do not use an excessively wet cloth. Liquid may enter in the lid and
cause insulating quality to decrease.
●
To clean the basket, wash it with soapy water, thoroughly rinse it, and then
wipe it with a soft cloth.
■
Defrosting the refrigerator (if equipped)
Defrost the refrigerator if the accumulated frost is 6 mm (0.24 in.) or more in
thickness. Take everything out of the refrigerator and then set the dial to “0”
and allow the frost to melt. If quick defrosting is desired, pour warm water
(approximately 50°C (122°F) or less) over the frosted areas. After the frost
has melted, wipe the refrigerator with a dry sponge or soft cloth.
WARNING
■
Water in the vehicle
●
Do not splash or spill liquid in the vehicle.
Doing so may cause electrical components, etc. to malfunction or catch
fire.
●
Vehicles with SRS airbag system: Do not get any of the SRS components
or wiring in the vehicle interior wet. (
An electrical malfunction may cause the airbags to deploy or not function
properly, resulting in death or serious injury.
■
Cleaning the interior (especially instrument panel)
Do not use polish wax or polish cleaner. The instrument panel may reflect
off the windshield, obstructing the driver's view and leading to an accident,
resulting in death or serious injury.
