7 MAINTENANCE
7.1
ORDINARY MAINTENANCE
All repair and extraordinary maintenance operations must only be carried out by authorised “MAMO” service centres, using
original spare parts and accessories
Always unplug the appliance prior to any maintenace work
This appliance has been designed and manufactured to require no special maintenance and oiling during its life. Thus are no specific
operations to be carried out at any time. If you do not use the appliance for a long time it is recommend to unplug it and cover with a sheet.
For a better and long life of the appliance we recommend you to proceeed as follows:

Always unplug the appliance before cleaning the exterior cabinet.
•
Clean the appliance with a damp cloth dipped in a neutral detergent or alcohol and under no circumstances use strong abrasive
agents containing ammonia as it could cause damage to the machine.
Mamo offers special service from equipment cleaning to maintenance contracts. For further information please contact the MAMO local
service centre or your personal agent/delear. The only and most important maintenance requirement is the cleaning of the heating rollers.
The following procedure will help you to keep the roller free of adhesive deposits along the edge of the film. Correct alignement of the film
roll will reduce the quantity of wasted adhesive. Under no circumstances laminate inflammable adhesive and/or metallic material as thay
may cause damage to the rollers.

Cleaning
The following procedure must be carried out when the Laminator is hot. BE CAREFUL
Never clean the roller with sharp objects
If the film reels around the rollers, press the button “STOP” immediately
Do not clean the rollers with detergents as some solutions could be melted on the rollers
1) Lift the rollers and remove the film from the appliance.
2) Heat the laminator up to 30-40°: with the heated rollers the adhesive can be removed easier.
3) Lift the safety shield and take out he feed table.
4) Clean the roller with a damp cloth dipped in alcohol and remove adhesive deposits gently.
5) Press the button “FORWARD” or “BACK” to turn the heating rollers until you are able to clean them completely.
6) Position the feed table into its housing.
7) If the film reels around the roller press the button “STOP” immediately: let the rollers cold down and cut the film on the upper and
lower roller in front of the stabilizer bars. Turn the roller to the opposite direction at a very low speed in order to allow the machine
to free the rollers from the film, pull out the film from the rollers and then clean them.
