3.11 Hard Disk Test

To execute the Hard Disk Test, select

8

from the DIAGNOSTIC TEST MENU, press

Enter

and follow the directions displayed on the screen. The Hard Disk test contains 10 subtests
that test the T2100/T2105 Series computer's hard disk drive functions.

CAUTION

: The contents of the hard disk will be erased when subtest 02, 03, 04, 05, 06,

08, 09, or 10 is executed. Before running the test, transfer the contents of the hard disk
to a backup system. This can be done with the BACKUP command in the Toshiba
Companion Utility.

After the hard disk test is completed, execute the Toshiba MS-DOS FDISK command,
which will set the partition. Then execute the Toshiba MS-DOS FORMAT command.
Refer to the Toshiba MS-DOS manual for details.

The following messages will appear after selecting the hard disk test from the DIAGNOSTIC
TEST MENU. Answer each of the questions with an appropriate response to execute the
test.
