Installing the Hard Disk Drive

To install the hard disk drive, follow the steps below and refer to Figures 4-12 and 4-13.

Place the

HDD

in the HDD slot and slide the

HDD

to the right. Make sure the

HDD connects to the HDD connector on the system board (PJ502) (Figure 4-13).

Place the

HDD bracket

on the

HDD

Seat the

battery holder assembly

and secure the assembly and

HDD bracket

with t

hree M2.5x8 silver screws

(Figure 4-13).

Seat the

palm rest cover-support

, and secure the

HDD cover

(Figure 4-13).

Connect the AccuPoint cable to PJ13 on the system board and place the palm rest
in the unit.

Turn the computer over and secure the bottom cover with the four pan-head

M3x6 screws

(Figure 4-12).

Install the keyboard, optional memory module, optional PCMCIA card and battery
pack as described in Sections 4.5 back through 4.2.
