3.6 Hard Disk Drive Troubleshooting

Procedures

This section describes how to determine if the hard disk drive is defective.  Start with Procedure 1
and continue with the other procedures as instructed.  The procedures described in this section are:

Procedure 1:

Procedure 3:

Test Program Check

Procedure 4:

Connector Check

CAUTION: 

 The contents of the hard disk will be erased when the HDD Troubleshooting

Procedures are executed.  Before continuing, transfer the contents of the hard disk to
floppy disks.  This can be done with the Toshiba MS-DOS BACKUP command.  Refer to
the Toshiba MS-DOS manual for details.
