6. Checking the Warning Label on the Main Body
Check that warning label is attached on the main body.
If the label is missing or hard to read due to stain, contact one of Toshiba sales representatives.
[Warning symbols on the nv-pack series main body]
This symbol is a warning symbol for dangerous parts. It is attached on places
where there is a risk of an electric shock or a risk of damage to the main body due
to wrong wiring.
Note the following where this symbol is present.
● Touching the power input terminal of the power supply module while the power is on
causes an electric shock and is very dangerous.
Do not touch the power input terminal.
● For safety, turn off the power before wiring or performing maintenance and inspection.
● Wire the power input terminal correctly, and avoid applying any voltage exceeding the
specified voltage range. Failure to observe this may cause failure or damage.
● Be careful not to short-circuit the connector pins with the connector cover.

The following warning sticker is attached at the upper part of the body (indicated by an
arrow):

１ . 感電及び機器破壊の恐れあり
・本体カバーを取りはずす場合は、必ずＡＣケーブルを
抜き、１分以上経過してから作業を行うこと。
・電源ユニットは分解しないこと。
２ . ハードディスクユニット破壊の恐れあり
・衝撃を与えないこと。
・活線挿抜をしないこと。ただし、ホットスワップミラー
リングディスクシステムの活線挿抜は、ホットスワップ
ミラーリングディスク取扱説明書に従って操作すること。
・電源ＯＦＦ後３０秒以内の挿抜はしないこと。
３ . ファイル破壊の恐れあり
・シャットダウン処理が終了する前に電源を切らないこと。
４ . バッテリを破棄する場合は、地方自治体
の条例または規則に従って行うこと
CAUTION
1. To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage
to the equipment :
・
Before removing cover of the PC, unplug AC power
cord and wait at least one minute.
・
Never disassemble power –supply unit.
2. To reduce the risk of damage to hard disk units:
・
Do not give shocks.
・
Do not insert nor remove hard disk unit while the PC’s
running. In case of MIRRORING DISK UNITS, see
MIRRORING DISK Hardware Instruction Manual.
・
Do not insert nor remove hard disk units within 30 seconds
after turning off power to the PC.
3. To avoid destroying data and program files:
・
Do not turn off power to the PC before shutdown
Process terminates normally.
4. Dispose of used batteries obeying the law.
