Duplex The process of printing on both sides of a sheet of paper. For

Processing System This system consists of the TOSHIBA e-STUDIO550/650/810
digital copier connected to the GL-1020 controller. It provides the
convenience of walk-up copying, scanning, and network printing
from the same device.
Electronic mailbox A feature of Private Print Mode, where a private print job can be
separated and sorted on a different tray.
Ethernet A local area network (LAN) developed by Xerox, Digital and Intel
(IEEE 802.3). It is the most widely used LAN access method.
Token Ring is next. Ethernet is normally a shared media LAN. All
stations on the segment share the total bandwidth, which is one of
10 Mbps (Ethernet), 100 Mbps (Fast Ethernet) or 1000 Mbps
(Gigabit Ethernet).
Event A significant occurrence such as the completion of a print
operation.
Fax agent A set of properties for transferring fax jobs to a particular
destination.
Finishing unit or
Finisher A copier accessory that provides Sort, Group, Staple and Hole
Punch printing/copying options.
FPOT F irst P age O ut T ime. The length of time the copier takes to
process and print the first page of a print job.
Fragment threshold Defines the size above which an RF data packet will be split up, or
fragmented, for transmission.
Frame A data packet sent through the network. There are several types
of frames, which differ in the way the data is arranged. In order for
the different nodes within a network to communicate, the same
frame type must be setup for each.
Gateway address The IP address of the router that the GL-1020 controller uses to
access devices on other subnets.
