Printing Microsoft Word documents that contain multiple 
section breaks is not supported. The output stacking order 
will be incorrect and, if stapling is enabled, each section will 
be stapled individually. 

Prerequisites

Enable Macintosh printing:

„

Remotely, using TopAccess on the administrator’s 
workstation.

„

Locally, using the printer’s LCD touch screen.

Macintosh LPD Setup

Launch your Web browser. Open TopAccess using the IP 
address of the GL-1020 controller you want to configure. 
(Refer to 

Opening TopAccess

 on page 71.) 

Note: You can find the IP address by using GL-DocMon.

Login as an Administrator.

Click the 

Administration

 tab.

Click the 

Setup

 submenu.

Click the 

Print Services

 link.

Scroll down to the LPD Printing section and select 

Enable

 

from the drop-down box.

Click 

Save

.

Proceed to 

Installing Client Software

 on page 167.

Classic Mode Support

For Classic mode support, please ensure that OS 9.1 has been 
installed on your MAC and restart your system in the Classic 
mode. Once you are in the Classic Mode OS 9.1, please refer to 
the manual section MAC PPD. installation.
