Chapter 5: Using the TV’s features
Selecting the picture size
Repeatedly press
PIC SIZE
on the remote
control to select the desired picture size. 4:3 or
16:9 can be selected.

Pressing PIC SIZE
4:3
Scales an image so that it is
displayed in the center of the
screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
This is most suitable for 4:3
images like computer monitors,
standard defi nition TV and
4:3 aspect DVD movies, as it
displays them without aspect
alteration.
16:9
Scales an image so that it is
displayed in the center of the
screen with a 16:9 aspect
ratio. This is most suitable for
images which are already in a
16:9 aspect, like high defi nition
TV, as it displays them without
aspect alteration.
Note:
Picture size selection is available only for
720p and 1080i HD video. It is not available for
480i, 576i, 480p and 576p SD video.
Using these functions to change the picture
size (i.e., changing the height/ width ratio) for
any purpose other than your private viewing
may be prohibited under the Copyright Law
and may subject you to civil and criminal
liability.
Adjusting the Picture position
Adjustment to the position of the picture may be
made to suit your viewing preferences.

Note:
When the picture format is in 16:9 mode,
only the Horizontal position can be adjusted.
