5. Pull the lever back until the clevis pin (on an
arm above the pivot shaft) contacts the end of
the slot (just beginning to put pressure on the
spring) as shown in
Figure 78 .

7. If adjustment is needed, loosen the nut and jam
nut against the yoke (
Figure 78 ).
8. Applying slight rearward pressure on the
motion-control lever, turn the head of the
adjustment bolt in the appropriate direction until
the control lever is centered in the N
EUTRAL
-
LOCK
position ( Figure 78 ).
Note:
Rearward pressure on the lever keeps
the pin at the end of the slot and allow the
adjustment bolt to move the lever to the
appropriate position.
9. Tighten the nut and jam nut ( Figure 78 ).
10. Repeat steps 4 through 9 for the other control
lever.
11. Install the front panel.
Adjusting the Traction
Drive for Neutral
Make this adjustment with the drive wheels turning.
DANGER
Mechanical or hydraulic jacks may fail to
support the machine and cause a serious
injury.
• Use jack stands when supporting the
machine.
• Do not use hydraulic jacks.
