3-Point Hitch and PTO Components

Use the following list as a reference:
•
Refer to the specifications section for the
recommended horse power and the minimum
lifting capacity for the traction unit;
Specifications
(page 9) .
•
The traction unit must have a category I or II
3-point hitch.
•
Set the sway links to 50 mm (2 inches) of lateral
movement; refer to your traction unit
Operator’s
Manual for sway-link adjustment instructions.
•
The traction unit must have a PTO output-shaft
speed of 540 rpm.
•
Adequate front-end weight (ballast) to offset the
weight of the machine.
•
Check the tire air pressure of the traction unit.
Adjust the tire air pressure as needed.
Important:
Do not exceed the maximum
or minimum tire inflation pressures as
recommended by tire manufacturer.
