Replacement of Soldering Tip
The soldering principle causes mechanical load on the soldering tip in use. This
causes the soldering tip to dull until smaller components can no longer be soldered
precisely. In this case, the soldering tip can be replaced with a new one (not en-
closed, can be ordered separately).
Soldering tips with different tip shapes are also available as accessories.
The smaller the soldering tip, the
fi
ner the soldering work that can be
performed. Wide soldering tips are meant for coarser soldering.
Proceed as follows to replace the soldering tip:
• Switch the soldering station off and let the soldering gun cool off completely.
• Loosen the grooved metal cap nut at the soldering gun and remove the holder.
• Carefully remove the soldering tip straight from the ceramics heating element of
the soldering gun.
The ceramics heating element must not be subjected to mechanical
strain. The warranty/guarantee expires if the ceramics heating element
breaks!
• Put a new soldering tip onto the ceramics heating element.
• Push on the holder and carefully tighten the metal cap nut. Do not apply any force.
Do not use any tools for tightening!
