After use
The golden rules for care
Chop the damp/wilted garden waste which has been stored for several days
before feeding them into the feeding funnel.
Ensure the forward/reverse switch (13) is on forward position “ ” and the
interlock switch (11a) is on its position “ON” (Fig. 11).
Press the ON switch “I” (15) to switch the product on.

Remove any jammed debris from the cutting means and examine them for
any damage before re-commencing shredding.
If the blades have stalled for more than 4 - 10 seconds, the overload
protection will activate. Refer to section “overload protection”.
Slowly feed material (e.g. garden waste, branches) into the feeding funnel
(1) (Fig. 12). Only insert as much feeding material as to avoid blockage of
feeding funnel and cutting means.
Insert the plunger (17) into the feeding funnel (1)to push the material onto
the cutting means if necessary (Fig. 13).
Wait until all the feeding material has been shredded before adding more
material.

Emptying collection box
Always operate the product with the collection box (11) attached.
Inspect the collection box before each use. Do not use it if you detect any
damage.
Empty frequently during use. Do not wait until the collection box is
completely full. We recommend emptying it when it is half full.
Switch the product off and disconnect it from the power supply.
Fully press down the interlock switch (11a), hold the recessed grip (11b)
and carefully pull the collection box (11) out of the frame (8) (Fig. 14).

Empty chippings on compost heap or into a suitable container.
Reattach the collection box (11) before using the product again.
Switch the product off, disconnect it from the power supply and let it cool
down.
Check, clean and store the product as described below.Maintenance and
care.
