Forward/reverse operation

This shredder TTB683SHR is designated with a rated power input of 2500 Watts 

(S6:40%)

This  product  is  designed  for  cutting  of  fibrous  and  woody  garden  waste  for 

composting.

This product is not intended for shredding pieces of metal, rocks, bottles, cans, 

etc. or soft waste such as kitchen rubbish.

For safety reasons it is essential to read the entire instruction manual before first 

operation and to observe all the instructions therein.

This product is intended for private domestic use only, not for any commercial 

trade use. It must not be used for any purposes other than those described.

WARNING!

 Always switch the forward/reverse switch to standby 

mode for 2 seconds before changing the forward/reverse mode!

Wait until the blades completely stop;

Wait at least one minute and then press the reset button (16);

Set the forward/reverse switch (13) to reverse mode “     ”;

Press the ON switch “I” (15) to switch the product on. Carefully pull out 

the jammed material from the feeding funnel;

After the product runs for a few seconds, press the OFF switch “O” (14) 

to switch the product off;

Set the forward/reverse switch (13) to forward mode “     ”;

Always  adjust  the  clearance  between  the  cutting  plate(4c)  and 

cutting blades (4b) before using the product!

For an effective operation, adjust the blade clearance regularly.

NOTE: 

Repetitions  of  forward  and  reverse  operations  may  be 

required to shred a large object.

The cutting plate(4c) is set from 0 to 0.5 mm closed to the cutting blades(4b); this 

distance should be kept to achieve effective operation.

Switch the product on.

Turn the cutting plate adjustment knob (5) slowly in a clockwise direction until 

a scraping noise is heard (metal plate making contact with the cutter head). 

Fine aluminium shavings will fall from the discharge chute (Figs. 7, 8).

As  soon  as  the  scraping  noise  is  heard,  rotate  the  adjustment  knob 

anti-clockwise 1/4 of a turn. Ensure that the metal plate is not making contact 

with the cutter head.

Avoid unnecessary wear on the cutting plate by not over-adjusting.

After adjusting, make shredding tests to check if the best effect is achieved. 

Readjust if necessary.

The  motor  of  this  product  is  equipped  with  an  overload  protection.  When 

overloaded, the product acts as following:

The overload protection unit will automatically activate within 4 – 10 seconds 

and shut off the power supply. 

When it happens, perform the following steps:
