5- MAINTENANCE AND PART REPLACEMENT
5.1- Maintenance
To keep your e-bike in good condition, maintain it regularly
•
Replace the brake pads as soon as the wear indicator has been reached
•
Clean your e-bike regularly using a sponge and soapy water
•
Do not use detergent, petrol or a high-pressure hose
•
Clean and grease the bearings every 6 months
5.2- Lubrication
Lubricate lightly and regularly (around once a month)

The chain
•
The brake cables
•
The brake system spindles
5.3- Part replacement
Like all mechanical components a bike is subject to stress and wear and tear. Materials and components can react differently to wear or fatigue.
If a component is too old it may suddenly break with the risk of injuring the cyclist. Cracks, scratches and discoloration in zones which are subject to high stress indicate that the part is
worn out and should be replaced.

NEVER PUT LUBRICANT ON THE SURFACE OF THE WHEEL RIMS, THE TYRES OR THE FRONT AND REAR BRAKE PADS .
•
CHECK THAT LIGHTING EQUIPMENT (E.G. BULBS) ARE IN A GOOD CONDITION AND ARE WORKING PROPERLY AND IF NECESSARY CLEAN THEM WITH A DRY CLOTH.
