3.1.1- Safety precautions  

•

 Do not plug the battery charger into the mains with wet hands (danger of electrocution) 

•

 Battery charging should be performed in ventilated premises 

•

 Always ensure that the battery charger is compatible with the local mains supply 

•

 Do not charge the battery in a wet environment or close to inflammable or explosive material (charging generates heat and a danger of fire and explosion) 

•

 Do not store the charger when it is hot 

•

 Do not charge a defective battery 

•

 Keep the operating battery charger and its connections out of reach of children 

•

 Do not try to dismantle the battery charger.  

3.1.2- Protecting the battery charger  

•

 Do not expose the battery charger to rain 

•

 Do not leave the battery charger unplugged from the mains supply (220 volts) but connected the battery 

•

 Do not submerge it in water  

•

 Do not place objects on the battery charger or cover it 

•

 Handle the input and output electricity wires on the battery charger with care 

•

 To protect the battery charger after a long charge (over 24 hours), unplug the electrical connection and place the charger in a dry and ventilated place 

•

 Do not leave the battery charger plugged into the mains for more than 24 hours .  

•
