13. Wiring Diagram Notes
Modification to Watermist Relay Control
1. Panel:
Mod 1: (System Abnormal)
Relay R50/2
– change from Normally Open
to Normally Closed (de-energised).
Remove
the
6k8
resistor
connected
between wires 315 and 314.
Use two spare field terminals to connect a
10k 0.25W resistor in series with R50/2.
Mod 2: (System Operated)
Replace
the
6k8
resistor
connected
between wires 315 & 316 with a 10k 0.25W
resistor.
Use two spare field terminals to connect a
680R 1W resistor in series with R44/3.
Mod 3: (Fault Input from T1216W-C)
Add a fault interface relay (RL FLT I/F) and
connect the Normally Open contact (relay
de-energised) into TB2 terminals 7 & 8.
2.
Two sets of Aux 24Vdc supply outputs are
provided; both are protected by a single 1A fuse.
The total current available is 1A shared between
the two outputs.
3. Field Relay Specification:
Coil resistance: 2.6k to 4.5k
Voltage: 24Vdc nominal (18Vdc to 30Vdc)
The coil must be fitted with a suppression diode
as shown in Figure 20.
4. Remote Inputs:
Silence Alarms
Evacuate
Reset
Class Change
Connections:
Connect to 0V AUX DC via the Normally Open
contact (inactive condition)
5. Remote Outputs:
Disablement Active
Evacuate Active
Buzzer Active
Maximum current sink: 50mA @ 30Vdc
Use 24V AUX DC output to power equipment.
6. Fire Signal, Fault Signal & Fire Protection
Output Specification:
(Note that terminals are dual marked for both
configurations described below)
Monitored Powered Outputs (as shown in
Figure 20):
Fire & Fire Protection Outputs:
Quiescent: 2Vdc
Active (fire): 24Vdc nominal
Fault Output:
Quiescent: 24Vdc nominal
Active (fault): 2Vdc
Connections:
Observe correct polarity
(
+
positive,
-
negative)
Volt-Free change-over relay contacts:
Fire & Fire Protection Outputs:
Volt-free relay contacts are shown in the
quiescent (de-energised) condition.
Fault Output:
Volt-free relay contacts are shown in the
non-fault (energised) condition (fail-safe).
Connections:
Connect to normally open or normally
closed contacts as required.
P
– POLE
C
– Normally Closed
O
– Normally Open
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The voltage applied to any of the relay
contacts must not exceed 30Vdc.
For this application the fault relay must
be configured to Volt-free operation by
removing the 3-way link across J6, J7
& J8 on the C1627 panel motherboard
(see T1216W-C Installation Manual for
details).
