5  Maintenance and Repair 

5.1 Maintenance 

Protect  the LDC2xx from adverse weather   conditions.  The LDC2xx is not water 
resistant. 
 
Do not store or leave t he LDC2xx where the LCD display will be exposed to direct 
sunlight for long periods of time. 
 
 

 Attention   

To avoid damage to the LDC2xx, do not expose it to spray, liquids or 

solvents! 

 
The unit does not need a regular maintenance. 
 
If necessary the unit and the LCD display can be cleaned with a cloth dampened with 
water.  
You can use a mild 75% Isopropyl Alcohol solution for more efficient cleaning. 
 
The  LDC2xx does not contain any modules 

that  can be repaired by users. If a 

malfunction occurs send the unit to 

Thorlabs GmbH

 for repair. 

 
To  guarantee the specifications given in 

chapter  6.3 over a long period it is 

recommended to have the unit calibrated by 

Thorlabs GmbH

 every two years.
