Flex10

External Connectors Description

X2 to X6

, used with SFP couplers, can be Gbps copper/optical

interfaces or 10 Gbps optical interfaces.

can be used:

The same way as X2-X6.

As a link between several blades, via a specific stacking cable.

X7 and X8

can be used:

As an internal link between the 2 Flex10 of the blade center. For
ViBE VS7000 needs, at least one connector (X7 or X8) must be
used this way.

The same way as X2-X6.

Grouping Possibilities

It is possible to group:

several LANs on one unique external connector. To do so, you must
create a Shared uplink set using VLAN tagging.

several external connectors on one unique LAN (trunk): this lets you
increase the bandwidth.
