SENSOR CORRECTION FOR CALIBRATION PURPOSES:
This section deals with the introduction of a calibration “offset” in order to correct the displayed
temperature or humidity value (top display).
The temperature and humidity sensor cannot be placed in the middle of the workspace, simply
because of the risk of damage. Therefore there will be a difference between the displayed
operating value, and the actual values measured at the centre of the workspace.
The “OFFs” parameter as shown in previous images is deliberately promoted to the operator
access level, so that it can be used to correct the displayed operating value.
If adjustments need to be made use the calibration procedure below:
MEASURING EQUIPMENT
Ensure that the equipment used to verify the actual temperature and humidity at the centre of the
workspace is accurate. A certified instrument or one that has been calibrated against a traceable
source is required.
Place the reference instrument in the centre of the workspace , leave it for a suitable period of time
to allow it to stabilize, and then take a reading.
Using the temperature control as an example, let us assume that the top display (PV operating
temperature), is reading 37.0ºC, and your reference instrument is reading 37.2ºC. That is a
calibration error of +0.2ºC.
