Using Hydrogen with TSQ 8000 Evo
To use hydrogen with the TSQ 8000 Evo, you must always shut off the GC carrier gas before
venting or turning off the TSQ 8000Evo. There are three hydrogen safety screws on the
TSQ 8000 Evo that
must
be in place. These are attached to your instrument at the factory.
Before powering on the TSQ 8000 Evo system, ensure that:
• All the covers and panels of the TSQ 8000 Evo system are firmly attached.
• The vent valve is tightly closed if you vented the system.
• All fittings, ferrules, and o-rings are sealed.
Hydrogen Connection Guidelines
Use the following guidelines to safely connect hydrogen to your system:
•
Piping—
Hydrogen must be delivered to equipment using appropriate piping and be
done in such a way as to pose essentially no hazard to end-users. Piping systems for the
delivery of hydrogen should be designed and installed by a person qualified by specific
