8.10 The Scaling Factor
The value of the current displayed on the controller is scaled using the scaling factor. This is found in the
inSt
ConF
list. It is set, by default, to 100 and assumes a single turn through the current transformer. If two turns are
made through the current transformer it will be necessary to adjust the scaling factor to 50 to obtain the same
reading.
Under normal conditions you should not need to change the scaling factor.
If, however, you wish to change the sensitivity of the current reading, for example, to read very low currents you
may need to change the number of turns through the PDCTX and/or adjust the scaling factor to compensate. See
also note 1 below.

Should you wish to read currents lower than 4A using a PDCTX it is necessary to increase the number of turns
through the PDCTX and adjust the scaling factor to compensate.
For example: To read 1.0A wind 4 turns through the PDCTX and adjust the scaling factor to 25 as shown in the
table below.
