Description Possible
Cause
Remedy Remarks
E04 error code displayed
Output voltage exceeds the
secondary voltage
specification.
A. TIG torch cable
and/or work lead
are too long or
leads are coiled.
A. Reduce the length of the
TIG torch cable to less
than 30m and/or work
lead or un-coil leads.
Weld current ceases.
Buzzer sounds
constantly. Switch
machine off then on
to reset E04 error.
B. Mains supply
voltage is more
than 10% below
nominal voltage.
B.
Check Mains voltage.
C. Defective
Secondary IGBT
PCB5 (WK-4919)
C. Turn Power Source Off.
Disconnect connector
plug from connector CN3
on PCB11 (WK-4963).
Turn Power Source to On.
If error code E04 has now
cleared replace PCB11(WK-
4963).
D. Defective Control
PCB5 (WK-
4919).
D. Replace control PCB5 (WK-
4919). When replacing
refer to PCB section.
E11 error code displayed
Over Primary supply (input)
voltage at primary
capacitors is exceeded for
one second.
Primary supply
voltage is greater
than the nominal
voltage plus 10%
Have an Accredited
Thermal Arc Service Agent
or a qualified electrician
check the Primary
voltage.
Weld current ceases.
Buzzer sounds
constantly. Error
code E11
automatically will
reset when the
voltage reduces.
E12 error code displayed
Under mains supply (input)
voltage primary capacitors
is reduced for one second.
Mains supply
voltage is down
to a dangerously
low level.
Have an Accredited
Thermal Arc Service Agent
or a qualified electrician
check the Mains voltage
Weld current ceases.
Buzzer sounds
constantly. Error
code E12
automatically will
reset when the
voltage increases.
