.

3.  Detach the gas line from the 90° elbow connector.

4.  Using two wrenches (such as pipe wrench, adjustable wrench)

hold the left-side (protruding receptacle) of the regulator steady
with one wrench, while simultaneously rotating the black 90°
elbow connector counter-clockwise with the other wrench until you
can remove the 90° elbow connector (see Figure 41)

5.  Use a wrench to rotate the left-side (protruding receptacle) of the

regulator counter-clockwise until you can remove the regulator
from the manifold (see Figure 41).

6.

Replace the regulator if needed.

NOTE:

When replacing the regulator, if the rangetop uses LP gas,

make sure to install the correct regulator (cap) fitting (Maxitrol or
Harper-Wyman). Refer to QuickFInder for the LP Gas Conversion
Instructions PALPKITHC (649832).

7.  After replacement, rotate the regulator on the manifold so that its

cap fitting is facing upward (and can be easily accessed).

8.  Use pipe sealant on the manifold-regulator connection.
