ADJUSTMENTS

DRIVE BELT TENSION ADJUSTMENT

Drive belt tension can be adjusted to one of three
settings to account for various mowing conditions.

1.

Loosen bolt M.

2.

Remove nut on back side of belt cover on bolt B.

3.

Place a wrench on nut N as shown and slightly
rotate wrench towards the rear of the machine and
remove bolt B allowing pivot arm to rotate down
relieving spring tension.

4.

Adjust by removing nut N and relocate spring
anchor bolt to position 1, 2 or 3.

•

Position 1 will provide the least amount of hand
effort and wheel traction.

•

Position 3 will provide the highest amount of hand
effort and wheel traction.

5.

Reassemble by reversing Steps.

TIRE PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT

Tire pressures should be maintained at 1.0 kg/cm

2

.

NOTE:  Adjusting tire pressure slightly can improve
tracking.  Increase pressure on the side the machine
tracks toward and decrease it on the other side.
