Conveyor

 

Belt

The 660-28 may be shipped as a single unit or the chassis and conveyor belt can be shipped separately.

When shipping or storing two or more conveyor units, space can be saved by removing and stacking the

conveyor belts. Perform the following steps for conveyor belt stacking:

1. Gather materials (Figure Operation-4-2 Conveyor Stacking Materials) for conveyor belt stacking:

•

three (3) tie down straps with padded ratchet (Tug Part # 660-4-3741).

•

three (3) rubber faced wooden supports

•

bubble wrap.

2. Ensure the conveyor is removed as outlined in the 660-28 Maintenance manual, Chapter 2, Sec-

tion 2.14 Conveyor Removal/Installation.

3. With the conveyor fully supported by the crane and resting horizontally, drive the “carrier” belt 

loader under the hanging conveyor (Figure Operation-4-3 Placing the Carrier Conveyor).
